Meeting new people on video should feel comfortable. This page explains the controls you have and the rules everyone agrees to.

Controls you have

  • Moderated 24/7Chats are moderated around the clock, and accounts that break the rules are removed.
  • Camera and microphoneYour browser asks for access only after you tap Start Video Chat. You can block it, or turn it off later in your browser's site settings.
  • Leave any chatTap Next or hang up whenever you want. You don't owe anyone an explanation.
  • Report a userIf someone breaks the rules, open their profile and report them.

Age and community rules

MixCall is for adults aged 18 and over. Harassment, hate speech, threats, and sharing someone else's personal information aren't allowed. The full rules are in our Community Guidelines.

Tips for chatting with people you just met

  • Keep personal details to yourselfDon't share your address, workplace, passwords or financial information on a call.
  • Watch what's behind youCheck that nothing in the background gives away where you live.
  • Never send moneyBe wary of anyone who asks for money, gifts or payment details.
  • Trust your instinctsIf a chat feels wrong, end it and report the person.
